I get hormonal pimples, should I go on The Pill?

Will going on the pill make my hormonal breakouts better? My pimples aren’t that bad but I am getting sick of getting a breakout every month and nothing seems to work that effectively (treatment products). I am scared of the side effects though…

xoxo

oh my, i read that first girl’s answer, please don’t think about tetracycline or minocycline, it totally ruined my life. my face wasn’t that bad but i took it anyway, and i think i became dependent on it. i got off it and my face looks HORRIBLE. more horrible than it ever would have looked naturally on it’s own.

now, i think the acne with the pill is rather unpredictable. it could make it worse or better, and everyone reacts differently. don’t listen to the yaz commercial saying it helps, because it didn’t for me. yes, i’ve been trying to find other ways to fight my face after i got off the minocycline. what’s the point in getting back on it and being dependent on an antibiotic that WILL give you yeast infections if you take it for a long time? even it it does work against acne.

so, unless it’s really bad, i’d stick to the skin you’re in. if you want to fight the pimples, just go do a dermatologist and don’t let them give you oral medication. get topical creams. that should work fine (although they do take a little time) and not mess up your internal system.

Hormonal Balance (Paperback)

Hormonal Balance (Paperback)

$24.86

First published in 2002, this guide pioneered the idea that hormones play a key role in weight loss and weight control. Writing in clear, simple terms, Dr. Isaacs profiles each hormone system, discussing what can go wrong and how imbalances can affect weight and even perpetuate obesity. The book explains how to reverse symptoms of hormonal imbalance through diet changes and other remedies, and then expands the discussion, teaching readers how to deal with everything from menstrual cycles to diabetes by recognizing and remedying hormonal problems. Updated with a more directive "how-to" approach on balancing hormones, this expanded edition features new research in the area of hungry hormones?including fat, gut, and brain hormones?as well as an easier-to-follow diet and lifestyle program.

Hormonal imbalances are among the main causes of acne breakouts, especially among teens. How do you treat such skin problem?

The skin is the largest organ in the body. Through perspiration, one of the skin’s major functions is to eliminate the toxins that can potentially harm the body. As the toxins are released through the skin, acne can develop especially when the pores are clogged. It is very essential to keep the pores open and unclogged to minimize the chances of the development of acne. But pimples can appear even with proper cleansing and keeping the pores open.

When acne appears, it is recommended to cure it with natural treatment. This involves cleansing the skin twice a day. But aside from cleansing from the outside, it is also recommended to clean it from the inside. What do I mean by this?

External acne treatments like cleansing and topical remedies may be effective at times. But when it is not offering results, it might not be too effective and may only mask the symptoms. This will normally work for the short term only.

Go to the source of the problem. This includes the balancing of the testosterone and estrogen levels in the body. If there is excess estrogen or excess testosterone, which is particularly common during adolescent stage, acne may develop. Balancing the hormonal balance will control acne the natural way. Ask your doctor about acne treatment plans involving the balancing of hormones. These treatment plans will provide a long-term effect.

In conclusion, go to your doctor and ask for some guidance with acne treatment plans involving the treatment of hormonal imbalances. This is the solution after trying all the external treatments that do not seem to work.
