I do this everyday. Maybe once or twice a week exfoliate after having a hot shower to get rid of your comedones aka blackheads.

Also you can use a egg white mask which helps close the pores.

Seperate the yolk from the white and put the white in a bowl. You can either cut half a lemon or use fresh aloe vera and mix it in or use it plainly. You can use your fingers or a brush and apply over your face, it will feel tight. Then wash it off with warm water. Pat dry and moisturise.
