Does tea tree oil work for treating acne?

I just bought a whole set of tea tree oil products for The Body Shop.
I asked for acne treatment products and they recommended me use tea tree oil.

So i bought the cleanser, toner, moisturizer and exfoliator and it costed $50.

I wasted alot of money on proactiv which didn’t work. Has anyone tried the tea tree oil products from The Body Shop? Do they work?

Thanks.

tea tree oil has helped my skin and I have used the Body shop products, have some now I like the foaming face cleanser

Acne around lips is very irritating and you will feel an urge to pop them up with a needle. Squeezing pimples is the worst thing that can do. Pimples will leave unpleasant acne scars that way. You need to treat the affected area gently. Use tepid water and mild cleanser with balanced pH value to clean the skin around your lips. Do not use scrub brushes or abrasive clothes to clean the affected area. Avoid using too hot or too cold water.

Apply a lotion or cream around your lips and avoid lip tissues. Benzoyl peroxide with two percent concentration can be used as an effective lotion to get rid of acne around lips. These lotions are available over the counter at drug stores. Do not purchase lotions with higher concentration for better results. Lotion with a maximum concentration of 2% has been found to be most effective in acne treatment.

Apply a light moisturizer around your lips to avoid dryness caused by benzoyl peroxide. Make sure the moisturizer is non-comedogenic. Such a moisturizer will be most effective in counteracting side effects of benzoyl peroxide lotion. Choose a moisturizer specifically manufactured for acne care. You can also use sulfur based creams and lotions to treat affected region. Sulfur treatment is very popular in acne care. Carefully mask the individual pimples with spot treatment preparation. Avoid the application of cream or lotion on lips and unaffected areas of skin. Use a mild cleanser and tepid water to clean the affected region in the morning.

Apply benzoyl peroxide lotion and moisturizer afterward. Results will be visible in less than a week.

If the pimples persist for more than a week, consult a doctor. Possibility of perioral dermatitis is higher if pimples are present around lips, chin and nostrils. You need a completely different treatment in that case. Oral or topical medications are used to treat perioral dermatitis.
